Winter stuff

Ist zwar schon eine Weile her, aber……. mein Huskypulli ist fertig! :-))) Ich dachte ja nicht, dass ich den endlich fertig bekomme, nachdem so lange der zweite Ärmel gefehlt hat. Jetzt bin ich einigermaßen zufrieden damit. Ich hätte am Bauch beim Hundeschlittenteam ein paar Maschen zunehmen sollen, dort sitzt er ein wenig streng, aber immerhin .. er paßt!
Now it’s a while ago, but …… i finished my Husky sweater! :-)))) I thought i will never finish it, because the second sleeve was missing such a long time. Now i am so so pleased. I should have increased a few stitches around the stomach for the sleddog team, because it is a bit tight there, but at least….. it fits!

Nachdem der letzte dicke Kragen für meinen Mann war, wollte ich für mich unbedingt auch einen Doppelstrickkragen gestrickt aus der super weichen Malabrigo Wolle haben!
After the further thick cowl was for my husband, i absolutly wanted to have also a Double Knitting Cowl, knitted out of the super soft Malabrigo yarn

Yuma Double Knitting Reversible Cowl

“Yuma” heißt mein Leithung und bedeutet “Sohn des Chefs”. Der Kragen (und die Schlittenhunde-Charts, ebenso zu finden in meinem DragansVarg shop) ist zu Ehren der schwedischen Wildnis und als Ausdruck meiner Liebe zu meinen Hunden entworfen worden.
“Yuma” is the name of my lead dog and the name means “son of the chief”. The cowls (and the Sleddog-Charts, also available in my DragansVarg shop) was designed in honor to the swedish wilderness and impression of my love to my dogs.

Wie die meisten von Euch wahrscheinlich schon wissen, sind die Randiriel Socken doch noch rechtzeitig fertig geworden (Danke für Eure Unterstützung!) und, so wurde mir gestern berichtet, gefallen die Socken der Beschenkten sehr gut.
As most of you already know, i managed to finish the Randiriel socks right in time and, i was informed yesterday, the presentee likes the socks very much.

“Randiriel” ist ein elbischer Name und bedeutet “Streunerin”. “Randiriel” i an elvish name and means “wanderer”.

Dies ist ein Sondermuster der Socken-Kreativ-Liste und immoment nur in Deutsch verfügbar. Im November wird es als Ravelry Dowload in Englisch und Deutsch zur Verfügung stehen. Im Moment kann das Muster für Gruppenmitglieder >hier heruntergeladen werden.

… hat heute Dolly Duster gebracht! :D … brought Dolly Duster today!

Meine neue Schaufensterpuppe! Anziehen und Fotografieren muß ich mit ihr noch ein wenig üben, aber hübsch find ich sie auf jeden Fall.
My new mannequin! I have to practise putting on clothes and taking pictures together with her, but i think she is quite beautyful.

Ich hab ihr mal eben was angezogen, dass sie nicht nackt ist, aber ich befürchte ich muß meinen Kleiderschrank durchforsten und nochmal bessere Bilder machen.
I just put her some clothes on, that she isn’t naked anymore. But i think i have to search for some clothes for her and take some better pictures.

Ein paar Socken sind auch noch in Arbeit: Randiriel für 4-fach Wolle. Ich hoffe ich bekomme den zweiten Socken noch bis Ende September fertig. Sie müssen Mitte Oktober als Geschenk in Deutschland verschenkt werden.
A pair of socks are also in progress: Randiriel for 4-ply yarn. I really hope i will finish them till end of September. They have to be in Germany in the middle of October.

Väskan & Ugglan

Diese Tasche wollte ich unbedingt stricken, ich hatte die Idee schon eine Weile im Kopf und wenn mich was in den Fingern juckt, kann ich mich einfach nicht beherrschen,ich MUSS mich drüber setzen. Unvernünftig manchmal ich weiß! Man müsste meinen, dass man mit 41 seine Ungeduld und seinen Tatendrang im Zaum hat – weit gefehlt!
I wanted to knit this bag by all means, i had the idea in my brain for a while and if somethings itching me, i cannot control myself, i HAVE to do it! You would think that in an age of 41 i am able to keep my eagerness and thirst for action under control – Way off the mark!

Dennoch bin ich mit dem Ergebnis super glücklich. Das war das schnellste Doppelstrickprojekt, das ich je gestrickt habe und das was am meisten Spaß gemacht hat.
Nevertheless, i am absolutly happy how it turned out. This was the speediest Double Knitting project i have ever knitted and which was most fun knitting ever.

“Bile” ist ein mythischer, irischer Name und bedeutet “Heiliger Baum”. In der Mythologie ist das der Name des Gottes der Heilung und des Lichtes. Eine Doppelstricktasche zu Ehren unseres großen alten Baumes, der uns und unser Grundstück beschützt.
Die Tasche ist in Doppelstricktechnik gestrickt und ist wendbar. (was für ein blödes Wort :D Es sieht halt von beiden Seiten schön aus und hat keine hässliche linke Seite)
Material:
Wolle: Malabrigo Merino Worsted 140g / 294 yards / 267 Meter von jeder Farbe.
Gezeigte Farben: Farbe A schwarz = Black, Farbe B braun = Roanoke
Abmessungen: 67cm Umfang x 30cm Länge (26” x 12”) ohne Träger
Die Tasche wird vom Boden nach oben gestrickt.

Bile: Irish myth name meaning “sacred tree.” In mythology, this is the name of a god of healing and light. A double knitting bag in honor to our huge really old tree protecting our property and life. This bag is knitted with Double Knitting Technique and is fully reversible.
Material:
Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted 140g / 294 yards / 267 meters of each color.
Shown colors: Color A black = Black, Color B brown = Roanoke
Measurements: 67cm circumference x 30cm length (26” x 12”) without straps.
The bag is worked from bottom to top.
The pattern includes a step-by-step instruction for the double knitting technique, illustrated with some pictures, written instructions and Charts.

Ich muss noch ein wenig an Maschenzahl, eingestricktem i-cord und Muster feilen, aber dann wird es auch dafür eine Anleitung geben.
I have to improve the stitch count a bit, the knitted i-cord and the pattern, but then there will be a pattern available also.

Frau hat ja nichts zu tun *g* und braucht zwischendurch mal was ganz Schnelles, Kleines, dass kein Frust beim Stricken aufkommt.
You would think that i have nothing to do *g* but i need somethings quick and small between, to prevent knitting frustration.

So putzig wie erhofft ist der kleine „Ugglan“ (schwedisch: Eule) nicht geworden, aber es war mein erstes Strickvieh und sicher nicht das letzte. Übung macht den Meister…….

The „Ugglan“ (Swedish: owl) turned out not as cute as anticipated, but it was my first knitted animal and for sure not the last one. Skill comes with practice…..

Änderungen am Muster: in Runden gestrickt, statt in Hin- und Rückreihen.
Change of pattern: knitting in the round, instead of working back and forth.

intina & Atka

Endlich ist es fertig, mein Mega-Tuch „intina“
Finally finsished my mega-shawl „intina“

Ich hatte mich doch etwas mit der Größe überschätzt. Das große Tuch hat eine Größe von 210 x 90cm!! Man kann sich super darin einwickeln, wenn es kalt ist und als Decke kann man es auch benutzen *gg*. Zum Glück habe ich das Tuch in einer kleinen Version teststricken lassen. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle an Kerstin, Tina & Bettina! Ihr habt super Arbeit geleistet und Eure Tücher sind toll geworden. I overestimated the size of the shawl a bit. The huge shawl has a size of 210 x 90 cm (83 x 35.5”)!! You can easily wrap it around you if it’s cold and you also can use it as a blanket *gg*. Fortunatly i ordered to testknit the shawlette. Thank you to Kerstin, Tina & Bettina! You did a great job and your shawlettes all look gorgeous. You can look at the shawlettes >here .
